TERRA Environmental served as Senior Project Manager and Licensed Site Professional (LSP) for emergency response to a 10,000-gallon fuel release on Interstate Route I-95 South in Attleboro following a tanker truck rollover accident. Environmental oversight encompassed interstate cleanup coordination and highway reopening operations after fuel oil release impacted wetland areas and residential neighborhoods. Remedial activities involved multi-agency coordination with EPA, MassDEP and local officials for comprehensive cleanup of impacted soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water across multiple environmental media. Project scope included assessment protocol design for contaminated media ranging from soil and groundwater to sediment and indoor air quality, plus design and implementation of sediment dewatering platform, material excavation operations, and wetland replication systems.
Interstate highway emergency response with 10,000-gallon fuel spill management: Comprehensive emergency response coordination for tanker truck rollover on I-95 South requiring rapid mobilization and highway reopening operations
Multi-agency coordination with EPA, MassDEP and local officials for wetland remediation: Complete regulatory coordination managing cleanup efforts across federal, state and local jurisdictions following fuel oil release into sensitive environmental areas
Multi-media contamination assessment with soil, groundwater, sediment and indoor air protocols: Comprehensive assessment design covering all impacted environmental media including surface water, sediment, groundwater and indoor air quality evaluation
Specialized wetland remediation with dewatering platform and habitat replication systems: Custom sediment dewatering platform design, contaminated material excavation coordination, and wetland habitat restoration implementation
