Granite Woods Reclamation Project
TERRA Environmental served as Environmental Consultant and Site/Project Manager for restoration of the Larrabee Gravel Pit (Granite Woods Reclamation Project) located in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Environmental responsibilities encompassed preparation and submission of Soil Management Plan to NHDES for regulatory approval, with restoration project requiring placement of approximately 3 million cubic yards of soil in accordance with New Hampshire Department of Environmental Protection regulatory approvals and site-specific work plans. General responsibilities included managing technical, operational, and staffing aspects of the reclamation project including project setup, gravel pit operations coordination for soil movement and placement, GPS mapping of all soil placement activities, scale operations management, and onsite environmental issue resolution. Project scope involved managing approval processes for fill soils and materials reuse, serving as primary representative for NHDES inquiries and discussions, ensuring compliance with soil management plan and NHDES regulations, and completing all reporting requirements for Project Owner and regulatory agencies.
