Overview
Our multidisciplinary team integrates environmental science with engineering design to create sustainable site development plans. We provide environmental impact assessments, regulatory permitting support, and innovative design solutions that balance development goals with environmental protection requirements.
Initial Assessment and Planning
Site Analysis: Conduct a topographic survey, soil testing, and environmental screening to assess site conditions, including wetlands, flood zones, and existing contamination. Review historical land use and zoning regulations.
Regulatory Compliance Review: Evaluate applicable local, state (e.g., Massachusetts Contingency Plan, 310 CMR 40.0000), and federal regulations, including zoning bylaws, conservation requirements, and permitting needs (e.g., MEPA, WPA).
Conceptual Design Plan: Develop a preliminary site plan outlining proposed layouts, infrastructure (e.g., drainage, utilities), and mitigation measures for environmental constraints. Engage stakeholders for input and submit initial filings to local planning boards or MassDEP.

Remediation Process
Detailed Design Development: Refine the site plan with detailed engineering drawings, including grading, stormwater management, and landscaping. Incorporate sustainable design elements (e.g., low-impact development, native plantings).
Permitting and Approvals: Prepare and submit permit applications (e.g., Notice of Intent for wetlands, Site Plan Review) to local conservation commissions, planning boards, and MassDEP. Address feedback through public hearings or agency reviews.
Environmental Mitigation: Implement mitigation measures, such as erosion control, habitat restoration, or contamination remediation (if identified), in coordination with Licensed Site Professionals (LSPs) for MCP-regulated sites.
LSP Signoff and Documentation
Final Plan Submission: Submit as-built drawings and final site plans to regulatory authorities, confirming compliance with approved designs and permits.
LSP Signoff (if applicable): For sites with MCP-regulated contamination, the LSP reviews environmental mitigation measures and signs off on a Permanent Solution Statement or Activity and Use Limitation (AUL) to confirm compliance.
Client Deliverable: Provide a comprehensive report to the client, including final site plans, permit approvals, as-built documentation, and maintenance recommendations for sustainable features (e.g., stormwater systems).
